Al Fitya is a learning institute for young people aged 13–18. We collect personal data only to do our work — accepting applications, replying to enquiries, and running our programs safely.
What we collect
We collect personal information only when you give it to us — through a form on this site, by email, or in person:
- Application forms: applicant’s name, date of birth, country of residence; parent or guardian’s name, email, and (optional) phone; and a short text the applicant writes about themselves.
- Contact forms: name, email, subject, and message.
- Email and in-person enquiries: whatever you choose to share with us.
We do not run analytics or visitor tracking on this site. We do not buy or sell personal data. We do not build profiles of visitors.
How we use it
- To process and respond to your application or enquiry.
- To organise cohorts and communicate with families before, during, and after a program.
- To safeguard students during programs (emergency contact, pastoral support).
- To issue program certificates to accepted students.
Where it lives
Applications, contact messages, newsletter sign-ups, and sign-in accounts are stored in our database (Supabase, EU). Staff see applications and those messages in Inbox. We use Google only if you choose Sign in with Google. We do not share personal data with third parties for marketing.
Children’s data
Most of our applicants are under 18. Application forms require a parent or guardian’s name and contact. Before a student is accepted, we correspond with parents or guardians. After acceptance, we may correspond directly with the student where appropriate, with parental consent for those under 16.
How long we keep it
We keep application data for as long as needed to evaluate the application and, if accepted, to run the program and issue your credential. Unsuccessful applications are deleted within 12 months unless you ask us to keep them on file longer.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Show you what data we hold about you or your child.
- Correct anything inaccurate.
- Delete your data, except where we are required to keep it (for example, for an accepted student during an ongoing program).
Email team@alfitya.com for any of these requests.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the “last updated” date above.
